Jatim Fair 2019 Is Expected as an Event for MSME Players and Overseas Buyers

Elestianto Dardak hopes that East Java Fair will be able to bring together Micro and Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) entrepreneurs with foreign buyers.
"So, the hope is that the East Java Fair can bring together MSMEs with potential buyers,
especially from abroad, "said Arumi Emil Dardak.
"So it is hoped that things like this will help and become part of the government's facilitation for SMEs," Arumi added.


That was said by Arumi Emil Dardak after being a speaker at the International Seminar on the Knitting Opportunities and Export Strategy of East Java Products Penetrating the International Market in Grand City Surabaya, Wednesday (09/10/2019).
He explained, the meeting of SMEs with foreign buyers would bring fresh air to them.
So that, in the future, the products of business actors will be known abroad and will have an effect on business and
its economy.
He added, the implementation of East Java Fair is also expected to be able to encourage the interest of people who do not yet have the desire to wrestle in the business world to be able to jump in and take a role in the business world.
"Encouraging those who have not yet become MSME actors become MSME actors,"
he continued.
Furthermore, Arumi Emil Dardak explained, the SMEs should have a very important role for economic growth in East Java.
If their market share can reach overseas or reach export levels, it will
effect on economic growth in East Java.
"UMKM is the backbone of East Java economically," he explained.
In addition, Arumi Emil Dardak said that to face the challenges, the Provincial Government of East Java will continue to provide services and assistance to MSME entrepreneurs so that they can develop their products and expand their markets to penetrate foreign markets.
"We, the Provincial Government of East Java, are working together with MSMEs to try to fully facilitate what is needed by MSMEs themselves," he said.
Related to the development of MSMEs in East Java, Arumi explained, that every year there is a good increase and shows a positive trend.
"If the development of MSMEs from year to year I see one that is certain that the quality from day to day is getting better, the variations are more and more, the innovation is also more and more, more creative," he concluded.
